Data Engineer | Financial Services Migration

Join a leading Financial Services organisation at the forefront of a major, multi-year Customer Migration project. As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building the high-performance pipelines required to move millions of records into a modern Azure cloud environment, ensuring data integrity and excellence in a high-visibility, regulated environment.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, and optimise robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and Databricks.

• Utilise dbt (data build tool) to manage transformation layers and complex data modelling.

• Collaborate closely with Architects and stakeholders to execute large-scale data migration strategies.

• Ensure stringent standards for data quality and governance are maintained during the transition.

• Work within a cutting-edge Azure "Modern Data Stack" to ensure system performance and scalability.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Extensive experience building scalable data solutions using Databricks and Spark.

• Proficiency in dbt for managing data transformations and documentation.

• Expert-level engineering skills in both Python and SQL.

• Deep familiarity with the Azure ecosystem, including Data Factory and ADLS Gen2.

• Proven experience in data migrations, ideally within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
